Betty Shampoo & Conditioner

Betty shampoo & conditioner is a product that brings out the best tones for specific hair types. Blonde, Brunette, Ginger and Noire. Instead of explaining the functionality of the product, which many of the competitors do, I decided to have fun with the copy and play around with stereotypes. The goal for Betty is to be fun, cheeky and smart.

The colour palette for each hair type relates to the stereotype and reflects the persona of who that person would be. The rectangular shape of the bottle would fit and stand nice on a bath ledge or shower rack. The bottles have a pump lid for convenience.

illustration

The assignment was to create a black & white illustration for the Friends of the Environment foundation supported through TD Canada Trust. The foundation is community oriented. They give back into the community where the donations came from. This was my focus for the illustration. I wanted to express the care and love that people will have for their community and how Friends of the Environment supports this. The illustration is a grid map of a community shaped into a heart. The illustration will be printed onto tote bags, banners & t-shirts.

branding & identity

This is my word mark for a fictional candy & pop shop located in Vancouver. We selected a retail category, decided on a name and targeted a market. The name sprouted from the french word bon, which translates to sweet. The look and feel of the brand is cheeky, sophisticated, targeted towards Vancouver's Metro's between 25 – 35. More pieces are soon to come.

my monogram

I love the feel of hand done letters, especially for a monogram which is very personal and unique to every individual.

The assignment was to create a cover page for the Applied Arts Magazine.
The words within the A, according to a thesaurus, mean Applied and Arts.
